Juice Cleanse Day 1

So I know this is primarily a mommy blog, but it's also a blog where I just post about things that I try out. Over the next three days I am doing a juice cleanse. 

Now I know a lot of people who think that juice cleanses are the stupidest thing. I have done my research, bought a bunch of reading material, and so I'm ready to start. I've already had my first juice of the day; a green lemon juice. It was like drinking a salad, but not nearly as gross as that sounds. And it actually gave me a caffeine buzz which was entirely unexpected. 


Update 1 - 1130

Just finished my second juice of the day. I'm craving chewing, which has to be the weirdest craving I have ever have. My jaw legitimately aches with the idea of chewing. My second juice was delicious though. Apples, lemon and a little ginger. It was perfect. I have my alkalizer next. Hopefully going to fit in a workout afterwards. I'm not doing anything heavy, just a very small Zumba workout. I'm really surprised I'm not feeling light headed or hungry at all.

Update 2 - 1330
Well from 1200 - 1230 I was throwing up. It was my own fault, I had the stupid idea that having a cigarette was a good idea. Let me tell you it wasn't. That was the worst time I've had since Thanksgiving during my first trimester. I'm still on track. Drinking my alkaline right now!

Update 3 - 1630
I had my Kale-Mango Juice about an hour and a half ago and it was my favourite so far. Although with only four juices into eighteen I've got many more to go! I am so glad that I kept on it after getting sick earlier; all those veggies cost alot!

Update 4 - 2200
So after nearly throwing up another time, Houston and I made the decision that I should eat at least one meal a day. My body was not  adapting well to the lack of solid food. I wasn't hungry that was actually never an issue. I was severely nauseated though. To the point that it was next to impossible to function, and when taking care of a 10 month old you have to be able to function. So I had a light dinner of grilled chicken and rice. It was perfect. Just what I needed and now I'm having my final "juice" of the day which is actually almond milk. I probably don't need it, but I wanted to finish my juices for the day. I'm hoping tomorrow goes better. When people said the first day was the hardest, nobody EVER said anything about being actually sick. 
PS I have headaches all day. Like horrible brain pounding headaches. Not sure if this is directly related, but it is a very likely possibility.
